HOSPITAL BUILDING:
Post Graduate Institute of Swasthiyog Pratishthan, Miraj, has a large infrastructure consisting of offices, operation suites, wards etc.,The hospital is spread over 55,000 sq.feet with all the departments required for orthopaedics. The building is three storied building with a basement. The surgical complex has three operation theatres, centrally air-conditioned.
Krishnamurthy auditorium, library hall, doctor's quarters, basement and a seminar room besides wards and rooms for patients.
The hospital has a reception hall, administrative offices, eight wards and thirty private rooms The operation suites consist of three major operation rooms and one minor. Each room has got an image intensifier - two
Type
B.V.25 Gold and one GE.
The laminar air flow is installed in two operation rooms. Third operation room has ultra violet system to achieve the clean air. The operation rooms with laminar air flow also have additional ultra violet system to further improve air cleanliness.
The operation rooms have all the equipments necessary for advanced orthopaedic surgery such as joint replacement, advanced spinal surgery, sophisticated arthroscopy such as mosaic chondroplasty, entire orthofix, external fixator, Ilizarov system, almost all the AO equipment, equipment for treating complex fractures with interlocking nailing etc., etc.,
Each wards & each room has a kitchen bathroom, telephone,. T.V. etc.
Building to be exclusively used for research clinical work consists of the following facilities:
